North Tomb is located in a large attractive park in north Shenyang and was built for Abhai who was also known as Huangtaiji. Both Abhai and his father Nurachi are considered to be the founders of the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). The park covers an area of 450 hectares, is surrounded by walls and can be entered from the south via the impressive Zhenghongmen.
